Garthamlock Ruchazie & Craigend Parish Church occupies a central position in Garthamlock. In 2009 our old church building was demolished, and we are now privileged to be enjoying a new multifunctional building, designed by the congregation to blend in with the regeneration works going on within the local community.
In 2024, Ruchazie Parish Church closed its doors and United with Garthamlock and Craigend Church to become Garthamlock, Ruchazie and Craigend Parish Church (GraC). The service of Union was conducted on 23 May 2024. Garthamlock, Ruchazie and Craigend church now serves three communities.
At a Service of Linkage on 14 November 2024 the congregation became part of a Linked charge with our sister church at Stepps. The congregations share our Parish Minister and have embraced the linkage by holding joint services for special occasions including World Day of Prayer, Easter services, social engagements and regular joint Kirk Session meetings.
GRaC is on the main route of the 38 bus and the number 19 (Firstbus) and X19 (Stagecoach) services pass on the way to Glasgow Fort, just a few streets away, all providing easy access to Craigend & City Centre.
